I vividly recall my mentor's insightful observation of how what I am going through is subtly reflected in my paintings. I concur, painting from the heart indeed reveals one's true self on canvas. Interestingly, many of my works feature solitary objects. Large format paintings, singular subjects. I am enamored by what I paint - and I want to be intimate with the subject. I wanted to revel in every shift and plane in its form. Light often leads the way for me.

  • Here, eggs are nestled in a cozy cluster, while one stands alone. I‘m mesmerized by how northern light can bathe a scene in a soft, warm glow, illuminating delicate curves and subtle textures.

Time has revealed an ongoing fascination with eggs. Despite the challenges they pose to capture, I find myself continually drawn to their enigmatic allure, transitioning off CAFO grocery store whites to the beauties of small farm varieties. PROCESS

This was the first time I used linen for a canvas and thoroughly enjoyed the difference. I love the sensation of how the oil paint adheres to the canvas. Like “Strawberry Abundance”, I am mesmerized by the moment between the objects than the models. I also love playing with yellows, pinks, and blues to depict ‘white’ orbs.
